Where to Eat & Drink in Salento, Colombia

Salento is a small town but I was surprised by the good options for restaurants, cafes and even a bit of nightlife. Here are my recommendations.

Cafe Bernabe Gourmet

The best restaurant in Salento. Delicious food, friendly attentive service, great presentation, all in a cute setting, a wonderful experience. Also nice views of Calle Real from their second floor windows.

Donde Laurita

Beautiful restaurant with tasty traditional food and trout. It closes early, usually at 7pm so plan on a late lunch or early dinner.

La Gran Trucha Restaurante

Nice restaurant specializing in trout, Sometimes with live music.

Kafe De Alma

Cool small cocktail bar with live music and hookahs, open air.

Camino Real Parilla

Large bar with huge outdoor backyard patio. Live bands or DJ’s most nights.

Mojiteria

Dimly lit cocktail and dance Club. DJ’s. Usually one of the last places to close.

Donde Mi Apa

In the main Plaza, fun place for dancing and drinking outside.

Pool Hall

To take it easy a nice, huge pool hall right in the middle of Calle Real , friendly people and service.

Conclusion
